About

Nice to meet you

My name is Korie and I’m an Intuitive Eating Counselor and Recovery Coach with years of experience helping people recover, challenge their eating disorder voice, live authentically, and give diet culture the boot.

A bit about me…

  • I’m a queer, 30-something, Leo ☼/Taurus ☾/Capricorn ↑, INFP, Enneagram 2. If that all means nothing to you, kindly skip along to bullet 2…
  • I go through life as a white, cis-gendered, able-bodied, straight size-wearing, neurotypical person and I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that these things give me immense privilege. I’m aware of this privilege and want to make sure you are, too.
  • When I’m not coaching you can probably find me reading, baking, going to concerts, and watching my comfort shows with a cup of coffee.

My treatment approach

  • I love helping others and I feel best when I can help you shine. Whether that’s being your biggest cheerleader as you overcome challenges, holding your hand as you face eating disorder fears head-on, or getting curious about your relationship with food and body – I’m here to help and it truly fills my cup.
  • I take a trauma-informed, intersectional approach to coaching. My work is derived from a combination of CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, and FBT. I gladly work with clients whose goals range from harm reduction to full recovery. I love incorporating humor and values based work when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • I’m a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor
  • I am a Trained Mental Health Technician with experience in group facilitation, meal coaching and support, exposure coaching, and recovery skill development
  • I hold a MA Ed. studying Eating Disorders and their Effects on Academic Success
  • I’m a native English speaker who is also fluent in French and speaks German at a B1 level

Most importantly…

I’ve been where you are. I recovered from my own eating disorder and I’m living proof that with the right support, you can recover too. I’m grateful to spend my time now combatting diet culture where I can in big and small ways.

Sound like we’d be a good fit, or want to learn more?
